Did you know that when you double-click on any word in a NYTimes article, a pop-up automatically appears with information about the term from the NYT Guide to Essential Knowledge, a dictionary, a thesaurus, an encyclopedia, references in fine arts and literature, and WordNet. SO COOL.
OK-- apparently the amount of references provided depends on the word. But STILL. So cool.
Is this new or am I just behind the times?

they started doing that about two years ago--around when they changed the layout of the website i think.
the NYT Guide to Essential knowledge is really awesome. i'm seriously considering buying it :)
