Tour of Jaffa

My second weekend in Israel we took a tour of the ancient city of Jaffa, which is just south of Tel Aviv. Jaffa is thousands of years old, and the place where Jonah was allegedly swallowed by the whale. There is a crazy flea market in Jaffa, and lots of ancient sites to see.

Modern street in Jaffa.

View of Tel Aviv from Jaffa.

In Jaffa, we visited the gallery of Kadosh, an Israeli artist who creates metal sculptures with moving elements.

Sculpture of the Old City.

Alleys of ancient Jaffa.

Interesting art outside the gallery.

Ancient house plate in Jaffa.

Retro furniture store-- completely out of place in Jaffa.

Interesting wall mural.

Ancient Egyptian arch in a Jaffa park.

Ancient alleys of Jaffa leading down to the port.

Suspended orange tree.

What a cute kid.

Allegedly the best hummus in Israel.

Me and Tel Aviv.
