Protection from snipers

Below is the most tangible evidence I've witnessed of the severity of the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Forget the soldiers, forget the semi-automatic weapons strapped across people's chests, forget the military helicoptors running up and down the coastline.

Across the street from an Israeli preschool on the outskirts of Jerusalem:

A cement blockade installed to protect the children from snipers in the West Bank.

The mural is intended to distract the children from the wall's purpose.
